Muncie officials have begun investigating the possibility of building a baseball park that could become the home of a minor league baseball team.
The “Muncie Star-Press” confirms the city has spent up to 20-thousand dollars recently on studies regarding a ball park and what it would take to land a minor league team.
Mayor Dennis Tyler said he felt the site of the old Chevrolet plant on Muncie’s West Side would be a good site for such a facility. Now city officials are looking into the costs and other issues that might be involved in such an idea.
