Indiana’s overdose deaths increased by 28-percent last year, according to data released by the Centers for Disease Control.
Between July of 2015 and July of 2016, nearly 14-hundred people in Indiana died from an overdose. That number increased to almost 17-hundred last year.
Only six states and the District of Columbia had higher rates than Indiana.
