The former Wabash County coroner has been arrested on charges of Official Misconduct.
Indiana State Police say 66-year-old Carol Nose is accused of failing to turn over several documents to the current coroner after she was defeated in the 2016 election. State law says a public servant that intentionally refuses to turn over all public records to their successor is guilty of official misconduct.
Nose is also accused of not filling out the necessary paperwork for more than 300 cases that came across her desk while she served as Coroner of Wabash County.
