Local health department officials say they have discovered mosquitoes in Grant County that have tested positive for the West Nile Virus.
According to the “Chronicle-Tribune,” the mosquitoes were captured in a trap and sent to state officials for testing. Tests came back positive for the West Nile Virus.
Grant County is the fifth county in the state to report mosquitoes that are carrying West Nile this year. No human cases of the disease have been reported in the state so far.
