On Friday, the WBAT Radiothon for the Salvation Army of Grant County was a whopping success as the effort raised a record ten-thousand dollars.
Thanks to a last minute influx of donations, the fifth annual Radiothon was the most successful one ever. And local Corps Commander Lieutenant Blake Fewell said the Radiothon has come a long way in a short amount of time…in fact, it has doubled in the last two years.
Fewell says the Salvation Army normally has a lull in fundraising during the summer months, and Fewell says the Radiothon will greatly aid the Salvation Army’s efforts to help those in need all year long.
