Officials of the Grant County Economic Growth Council came to the Marion City Council last night asking for more money.
Growth Council officials are asking the city for more money after the Grant County Council slashed the Growth Council’s budget by more than 200-thousand dollars for 2019.
Specifically, the “Chronicle-Tribune” reports the Growth Council members want money from the city for the Grants For Grads program that was slashed by the County.
City Council members say they will discuss the request in the next few weeks as they discuss their budget plans for 2019.
