A third person has died from the flu in Indiana this season.
A weekly influenza report issued Friday by the Indiana State Department of Health shows three flu-associated deaths have been reported for the 2018-2019 season. Details have not been released about the person who died or where their death occurred. The report shows that two of the people who died were over the age of 65, and the third was between ages 50 and 64.
Last year, Indiana reported 336 flu-related deaths…one of the worst years in recent memory.
