Kokomo’s two hospitals have begun restricting visitors due to the recent outbreak of the flu.
Beginning today, St. Vincent Kokomo and Community Howard Regional Health will limit visitors in an effort to curb the spread of influenza. Effective immediately, no one under 18 will be allowed to visit patients, no one with fever, coughs or other flu-like symptoms will be allowed to enter the facilities and only immediate family members will be allowed to visit patients.
The restrictions will remain in place until the flu outbreak eases.
