Unemployment in the Grant County area rose in January, though the rate is still low.
Grant County’s jobless rate in January was 4.6-percent…as were those in Howard, Miami and Madison counties. Delaware County’s rate jumped up to 4.7-percent, but Blackford County has the highest unemployment rate in the area at an even five-percent.
The lowest jobless rate in the area in January was in Tipton County, where it’s 3.5-percent.
