Indiana State Department of Agriculture Director Bruce Kettler and the state of Indiana are working on a disaster declaration for the state’s farmers.
Kettler said his office is seeing where the state stands in planting over the next few weeks to see which counties will be able to declare.
Other midwest states are looking at similar efforts.
