IDNR warns of carp invasion

A carp invasion is upon us.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources reports two Black Carp were caught on the Ohio River about 10 miles downstream of the state line in June.

This has people worried because these fish can pose a threat to Indiana’s already-endangered mussel population.

WFIE says if you catch one, you should keep it and make not of where you caught it. Cool it on ice and report the fish to Indiana DNR, and you could even get a $100 bounty for each carp you catch.
