Bartholomew Consolidated Schools enlists new tech to eliminate blind spots

Bartholomew Consolidated Schools will have new technology on school buses when the school year begins.

They will be equipped with cameras that can see all around the bus and display the image in the rearview mirror to eliminate blind spots.

The buses in Columbus, Indiana will also have sensors that warn the school bus driver if someone is exceeding the speed limit or drifting into another lane nearby.

Bartholomew Consolidated officials say they have eight buses with the special equipment, each costing about six-thousand dollars more than a normal school bus.
