The Ku Klax Klan is planning to hold a “Kookout” at Jaycee Park in Madison on Saturday afternoon, reports The Courier Journal newspaper.
A flier for the event says, “Make America Safe! Make America Drug Free! Make America White! Make America Great! Take a Stand!!! Join the Klan!!!”
A cookout in Madison in 2018 drew about a dozen Klan members and nearly 300 protesters.
In May, Mayor Damon Welch said the Klan doesn’t represent Madison or its residents, but he can’t “stop them from free speech.”
