Students and staff at Hinkle Creek Elementary School in Noblesville had an unexpected guest on Monday afternoon — a deer jumped through a window and into their school.
The school was put on lock-down, said Principal Jack Lawrence in an email to parents.
The deer shattered a window and landed in the main hallway, ran around hallways, then went out the main exit.
Nobody was injured and the lock-down was lifted after a few minutes.
The deer escaped into the woods on the south side of the school.
