Butler University students develop app to help visually-impaired students get around campus

A team of students at Butler University is creating a new app that helps visually-impaired students get around campus.

“GuideDawg” will be customized for the user, adding the student’s class schedule and the building locations, to create a path to assist the blind student.

Professor Panos Linos told Inside Indiana Business that they have enough of the app complete to present it at conferences next semester, and hopes the app will be ready for use by the fall semester of 2020.
