The coronavirus may have reached Indiana.
A person traveling through northern Indiana is being monitored for the virus and has been placed in isolation until the CDC can confirm any diagnosis, according to the Porter County Public Health Department.
There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Indiana, but there are five confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the U.S. so far.
Information has also recently come to light that Health Secretary Alex Azar says China refused an offer from the CDC to help control the coronavirus outbreak.
On Tuesday, Azar said the offer was first made as far back as Jan. 6th, but Chinese officials have continued to turn down any help – although they did share data the CDC used to create a diagnostic test.
China‘s death toll from the coronavirus outbreak is up to 106 with thousands of cases confirmed. Five cases have been confirmed in the U.S. with 110 more potential cases being investigated.
