MPD: Man flags down ambulance after being shot in face

A 22-year-old is now in critical, but stable condition after being shot Thursday at around noon.

According to Marion Police Departments Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey, an ambulance was driving near 14th and Nebraska Streets when it was flagged down by Shondarrious Chapman who suffered a gunshot injury to the face.

Chapman was taken to an Indianapolis hospital.

Dorsey says further information is coming as detectives continue to work on this case.
