After ongoing investigations with multiple agencies, the JEAN Team Drug Task Force this weekend arrested a Marion man and seized more 100 grams of opiate pills.
According to a press release, the JEAN Teams served a warrant at a residence at the 600 block of North Wabash Avenue, where they arrested 28-year-old Carlos Chavez and seized opiate pills, pounds of marijuana, firearms as well as paraphernalia used in the packaging and distribution of illegal drugs.
Chavez is facing charges of possession of a narcotic drug with the intent to deliver, a Level 2 Felony, and maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 Felony.
He’s currently being held in the Grant County Jail and investigations into this case are ongoing.
