Grant County Rescue Mission plans ribbon cutting for ReNEWed Gas City

Friday, January 15 the Grant County Rescue Mission will be celebrating the grand opening of their second thrift store, ReNEWed Gas City, located at 202 West Main Street in Gas City. The Gas City Area Chamber of Commerce and the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce will join them at noon for a ribbon-cutting. The store will also be celebrating by providing lunch and offering a 50% off clothing sale (excluding boutique clothing).

Debbie Berbereia, the Director of Thrift at the Grant County Rescue Mission says, “Our entire staff is so excited to see how God has fulfilled our hope and dream of bringing the GCRM thrift ministry back to Gas City. We are already so encouraged by the response from the Gas City community!”

Troy Simpson, the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Grant County Rescue Mission says, “We are so happy to be back in Gas City. We hope everyone will come by and see the hard work of the staff at ReNEWed Gas City and the wonderful merchandise we have available.”

As a ministry of the Grant County Rescue Mission, all the proceeds from ReNEWed Gas City will help fund the services provided by the Grant County Rescue Mission to the Grant County community. In 2020 the Grant County Rescue Mission fed 74,793 nutritious meals to those in need, provided 20,662 nights of shelter to homeless men, women, and children with nowhere else to go, and graduated 12 men from our Life Change Program.
