Hurricane contributes to increase in gas prices

Gas prices are on the rise once again in Indiana. GasBuddy reports many gas stations across the state are bumping up prices to $3.19 per gallon this afternoon, and up to $3.29 in northwest Indiana. GasBuddy’s Patrick DeHaan says Hurricane Ida and gas refineries in the Gulf shutting down has a part in the price hike, but wholesale prices were rising late last week, so a price jump was expected.
