The Marion City Council’s budget sessions continued last night and while Advisory Plan Director Sam Ramsey told the council there would be no changes to his 2022 budget, he did tell them he is in favor of changing some downtown streets.
Marion Mayor Jess Alumbaugh has continuously brought up the desire to make some one-way streets in the downtown area into two-way streets, and Ramsey is backing him up.
Ramsey said that while there would be some initial confusion and citizens would need time to adjust, he said it would be beneficial to help drive traffic into businesses.
