The man who caused a crash on I-69 last year that killed Cowan teacher Lee Ingles has turned himself in. 49-year-old Beau White, of Kokomo, crossed the median and crashed head-on into Ingles. White was taken to the hospital for a spinal cord injury, which has led to him now being paralyzed, says The Kokomo Tribune. Results of a blood draw in January showed White tested positive for Tramadol, an opioid that causes drowsiness. Charges were filed in March, and White had until August 28 to turn himself in, which he did. He now faces multiple OWI charges, including operating while intoxicated causing death.
