Rescue Mission celebrates ReNEWed’s new location

On Wednesday, September 15 the Grant County Rescue Mission will be celebrating the opening of their new Marion location of ReNEWed Boutique & Thrift, located at 502 South Adams Street in Marion. The Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce and Gas City Area Chamber of Commerce will join them at 11:30 am for a ribbon cutting and the store will open for shopping at noon. This location was generously donated to the GCRM earlier this year by the French family.

Debbie Berbereia, the Director of Thrift at the Grant County Rescue Mission says, “We have been working hard to prepare our new location for our customers and are so excited to have the community join us for our relocation celebration. This location is so charming and really is such a gift to our organization. We hope our community enjoys their shopping experience and we look forward to our future expansion at this location. We are so happy to be in our forever home.”

Cathy Thurman, a member of the Grant County Rescue Mission Board of Directors says, “We couldn’t be more excited for our new store location! The building is charming and really feels like part of downtown. I hope all our loyal customers feel the same when we open our doors next week.”

As a ministry of the Grant County Rescue Mission, all the proceeds from ReNEWed Boutique & Thrift help fund the services provided by the GCRM to the Grant County community. In 2020 the Grant County Rescue Mission fed 74,793 nutritious meals to those in need; provided 20,662 nights of shelter to men, women, and children experiencing homelessness; and graduated 12 men from our Life Change Program.
