Alexandria man arrested for child molesting

An Alexandria man has been arrested based on allegations of inappropriately touching a child in Marion in 2019.

According to a press release from Marion Police Department Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey, officers took a sexual assault report on Oct. 13, 2021. The victim was then interviewed at First Light Child Advocacy Center. Reports indicate the victim told police that 40-year-old Justin K. Roedl, of Alexandria, engaged in inappropriate behavior on two separate occasions in 2019.

Documents filed in Grant County Circuit Court allege that Roedl “did perform sexual intercourse with (the victim).” Court records also indicate Roedl “did communicate a threat…  with the intent that (the victim) engage in conduct against her will…”

According to Dorsey, Roedl was arrested on Oct. 20. He’s facing multiple charges of child molesting, as well as child solicitation and intimidation. He’s currently being held in the Grant County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
