Food distribution coming for Grant County seniors

LifeStream Services, Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana, Marion-Grant County Senior Center, and the Grant County Rescue Mission are partnering to offer a Senior Safety Net food distribution in Grant County. The program will provide assorted foods for older adults in need.

The Grant County Senior Safety Net will be held on the first Wednesday of the month beginning December 1 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., or until supplies last, at the Marion-Grant County Senior Center located at 503 S. Gallatin St. Marion, IN 46953. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this distribution will be held in a drive-thru format.

The program offers easy access locations for those who are 60 years of age or older to receive nutritious food. An ID, proof of residence or need are not required. Attendees should go through the line just one time so the distribution is able to serve everyone.

LifeStream’s nutrition program is dedicated to helping seniors in East Central Indiana have access to food and nutrition information that they need to live a healthy life. For more information on the nutrition program, please contact Dana Pierce, Nutrition Administrator, at 765-808-9059 or email dpierce@lifestreaminc.org.
