Salvation Army’s food pantry vandalized

On Friday, officials with the Salvation Army of Grant County learned that their food pantry, which serves over 100 families each month, had been vandalized. According to Lt. Michaela Lendt, someone spray-painted the backside of the Ben Medows Memorial Food Pantry with vulgar images and language.

The spray paint needs to be removed, but officials say that due to an extremely strict budget, The Salvation Army will need to utilize funds that are designated for other areas of service.

Lendt is asking the community to come alongside The Salvation Army to help rectify this situation as well as continue to serve those of Grant County. Those willing to help can contact Lt. Michaela at 765-664-6536.
