Some salads are being recalled for potential Listeria contamination

Fresh Express is recalling some of its branded and private-label salad products because they might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The salad items were sent to stores in Indiana and 18 other states. The recall was issued after the Michigan Department of Agriculture detected Listeria bacterium in a random sample test of a single package of Fresh Express 9-ounce Sweet Hearts salad mix. The recall includes all Use-By Dates of fresh salad items with product codes Z324 through Z350, reports the Food and Drug Administration.
