New plan could help get nursing students into the workforce

The omicron surge could lead to more nursing students in classrooms in Indiana. Lawmakers are considering a plan that would allow nursing schools in the state to enroll more students, and hire more part-time teachers to get those students into the workforce. Some hospitals across the state don’t have enough nurses. They hope is that by increasing the number of nursing students, they will be able to find the workers they need. A vote on the plan could come in the next few days.
