A retired Peru pastor who serves as the chaplain for the Miami County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police has received an international award for his lifetime of service and excellence as a law-enforcement chaplain.
The Reverend Jack Hess was honored with the 2017 John Price Excellence in Chaplaincy Award, which is given annually by the International Conference of Police Chaplains.
