A new study says Fort Wayne is the best city in the United States in which to retire rich.
GoBankingRates.com, a personal finance resource website, looked at where nest eggs will last the longest. It took into account the cost to buy a house, property taxes, health insurance and day-to-day expenses. Fort Wayne topped the list because it has the lowest average property tax bill. Fort Wayne was also first in in where paychecks are stretched the furthest.
Indianapolis came in at number 5 on the list. San Francisco was tabbed the worst place to retire rich at. The cost of living in San Francisco is 1.34-million dollars a year, which is more than double the national average.
