IWU hosts event featuring New York Times bestselling author Mark Tabb

The Division of Modern Language and Literature and the John Wesley Honors College at Indiana Wesleyan University will co-sponsor a visiting author event featuring Mark Tabb, a New York Times bestselling author, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

While chronicling his experiences finding and writing engaging stories, Tabb will share about his own writing process and habits, the publishing process and what it takes to get published. The renowned author has worked with a variety of people to help them tell their stories, including actors Alec Baldwin and Stephan Baldwin, vloggers Cole and Savannah Labrant, Dr. Bennett Omalu—whose investigation into pro football was turned into the award-winning film “Concussion”—Olympic athlete Lopez Lomong—who started as a Lost Boy in Sudan—and several others.

“Mark Tabb is particularly equipped to have a large impact on our majors as he shares stories of the people with whom he has worked and about whom he has written,” said Dr. Roberta Henson, chair, Division of Modern Language and Literature. “This is all valuable information and direction for our students as they prepare for their careers.”

The event will take place in Elder Hall Room 143. It is free of charge and open to the public.
